About Gary S. Hitzig
Dr. Gary Hitzig has translated his own struggle with hair loss into professional dedication. Dr. Gary Hitzig works with patients at New York Hair Loss, offering expert advice on cutting-edge hair loss solutions.
At a young age, Dr. Gary Hitzig began losing his own hair. At considerable expense, Dr. Gary Hitzig explored a wide variety of treatment options, all to no effect. While completing his medical residency in pediatric reconstructive urology, Dr. Gary Hitzig began studying and teaching hair restoration procedures.
Thirty years later, Dr. Gary Hitzig has become an active member of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery and has been published widely on topics in his field, including infrared coagulation, linear grafting, and punch grafting. Dr. Gary Hitzig has also been recognized by a number of professional societies for his contributions to medical hair restoration; Dr. Gary Hitzig co-chaired The American Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery’s Hair Symposium in 1996. In addition, Gary Hitzig is the author of Help & Hope for Hair Loss, a book offering advice on choosing doctors and treatments.
Dr. Gary Hitzig’s two offices are located in Manhattan and Long Island. All surgical procedures are performed by Board Certified Plastic surgeons, and Dr. Gary Hitzig continues to incorporate advances in his field into the treatments performed there. Recently, Dr. Gary Hitzig has begun testing and researching the use of extracellular matrix technology for hair cloning.
